Goal of the workshop

This workshop presents the career intervention “Community Clubs” and offers preliminary results regarding its impact on students’ career and academic processes.

Description of the workshop

“Community Clubs” is a career intervention sustained by the living systems theory of vocational behaviour and development, based on the research-action project Health Professionals Affinity Community.

It is directed to high school students and aims at fostering youths’ career exploration, community participation and articulation between careers and academic contents.

This intervention is implemented during one school year through curricular infusion and psychological consultancy strategies.

Experiences and challenges regarding the implementation of the “Community Clubs” and its future applications will be shared.

Based on such contents, the workshop will afford the possibility to rehearse and comment each phase of this intervention, identify the needed resources to implement it and discuss practical possibilities to jointly promote career and academic processes.

Target group

Guidance and counselling professionals. School psychologists.
