Who will attend CBS 2018?

CBS 2018 will bring together 115 participants from 11 countries: Euroguidance members, guidance and counselling practitioners, researchers, experts, policy makers, representatives of other information centres for studying and working in the EU (e.g.: EURES). A certain number of delegates from the 11 countries are invited to participate, meaning that the event is not open to the large public. The Romanian guidance and counselling community will be represented by delegates appointed by the Directors of the 42 counselling coordinating centre (CJRAE/CMBRAE) and also by other members of the local guidance and counselling community. It is the perfect place to share your experiences in the guidance field with other participants in a truly international atmosphere.

 

Why to attend CBS 2018?

CBS 2018 is one of the important international event on career guidance theme in Europe, offering the opportunity to participate in practical workshops and plenary sessions. It is the ideal place to discuss the latest developments in the field of guidance and counselling in the school curriculum with colleagues from different countries and to find out about initiatives and sucessful practices in various schools in Europe.

 

What about travel and accommodation arrangements?

International attendees are invited to make their own travel arrangements. Romanian attendees will receive clear instructions from Euroguidance Romania and the Director of CJRAE/CMBRAE on how to proceed with travel arrangements.

Regarding accommodation, the venue of the conference (Novotel Hotel) also offers special prices for CBS 2018 attendees until 30 September. International attendees are entirely responsible for the booking and the payment of the accommodation.

 

What about the CBS fee?

The 2018 CBS fee is 125 euros/person. The 11 Euoguidance centres will follow the agreed procedures in order to assure the participation of the own delegates. For the Romanian attendees, the fee is supported by Euroguidance Romania.

 

I need a Letter of Invitation for my participation. What can I do?

You should first complete your registration and then you can request your invitation letter via the national Euroguidance centre.

 

How can I register to the workshops?

The registration to the workshops is only possible here on the CBS 2018 site. There are 15 workshops available, grouped in 3 time slots, meaning 5 parallel workshops on each time slot (see the Agenda). Each participant has the possibility to choose 3 workshops, one for each time slot.  You have to make an account on the site (ID and password). After that you will have the possibility to choose 1 workshop for each time slot. Each workshop has a certain number of places available, and when the number is reached, you will not be able to choose that specific workshop. The number of places available for each workshop will be visible on the site when proceeding with the workshop registration. Therefore, proceed with the workshop registration as soon as possible, in order to maximize your chances to register to your preferred workshop.

 

How can I find more information about each workshop?

Each workshop has a brief description of its aim and activities as well as a short presentation of the workshop leader (see Workshops). The power point for each workshop will be available here on the site shortly after the CBS.

 

What happens if I forgot my ID/password for the online registration?

What happens if I need to cancel my participation?

Inform immediately the national Euroguidance centre.

 

Will the conference area and rooms have WiFi?

Yes, you will be provided with an access code to use the WiFi connection during the conference.

 

Are meals included in the registration fee?

All registered attendees are invited to join the coffee breaks, lunches and an official dinner (Tuesday evening).

 

Can an accompanying person have access to the conference area?

Only registered participants gain access to the conference area. In order to have access to the conference area, you should always wear the official badge that will be given to you during the registration process upon your arrival. This badge will allow you to have access to the conference rooms, lunches, coffee and dinner areas, etc.
